Be Active Sports & Clubs is a specialised sports coaching company that works with primary schools to deliver high quality PE lessons covering all aspects of the national curriculum, extra curricular clubs and lots more! We aim to engage and educate children about how to lead an active and healthy lifestyle through the positive power of Physical Education.

We continue to raise the profile of Physical Education and Sport as a tool for whole-school improvement by providing, high-quality Physical Education and sport service through our enrichment programme delivered by our team of enthusiastic, hardworking and professional staff.  We also provide a variety of extra-curricular clubs including breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs. We aim to engage and educate children about how to lead an active and healthy lifestyle through the positive power of Physical Education.

James is a highly experienced PE Specialist having delivered PE & Sport to young children within primary schools for a number of years. After completing his Sports Science degree at Brunel University back in 2015, James has worked closely delivering high quality PE lessons, utilising the sports premium budget and providing extensive extra curricular clubs to our partner schools. James has worked extremely hard to ensure PE and Sport continues to have a positive impact on young children lives.

Lewis is a highly experienced SEN specialist delivering Physical Education to a diverse range of primary schools for a number of years. After completing a BTEC sports science course alongside his football scholarship Lewis’s coaching versatility has allowed him to work closely with SEN pupils to develop and build greater self-esteem within sport. Lewis has continued to lead our CPD courses to primary school teaching staff to allow them to confidently deliver high quality Physical Education. Lewis is dedicated to ensure PE and sport continues to have a positive impact on young children’s lives.

Dan is a very experienced PE Specialist, delivering PE and Sport to young children within primary school for 5 years. Dan is an integral part of the Be Active team and is looking forward to improving PE and Sport at our partner schools. Dan is passionate about sport and takes this into his lessons by creating a fun, engaging environment for children to learn and keep active.

Mitchell is a PE Specialist, delivering high quality PE lessons at Elmgrove Primary School. Mitchell hopes to attend university where he will gain his sports analytics degree and obtain a teaching qualification. Mitchell is extremely passionate in ensuring young primary school children of all abilities, enjoy every moment of their sporting journey.

Ben is a vastly experienced Physical Education teacher having coached and taught PE for a number of years to both primary and secondary schools. After completing his sport science degree in 2018, Ben went on to achieve his qualified teacher status in 2019. Ben uses his expertise to lead high quality lessons across a range of different sports. Ben is passionate about ensuring PE and sport continue to have a positive impact on young people's lives.

Charlie joined the Be Active team in September 2020 and works part time delivering Physical Education lessons, lunch time and after school clubs to our partner schools. Charlie is currently completing his sport science degree at St Mary's University and hopes to complete his teaching qualification status. Charlie is a professional Irish dancer and has been lucky enough to perform around the world with Michael Flatleys 'Lord of The Dance Feet of Flames'. Charlie wants to ensure young people have positive experiences in PE and Sport, enabling them to lead active, healthy lives.

CHARLIE CAHILL

PE SPECIALIST

James is an enthusiastic PE teacher who has developed his teaching skills with over 6 years experience working with young children. Since James completed his FA Level 2 award in coaching football he has been excellent at being vital for children to improve physical their skills and mature socially.
James joined the Be Active team in September 2022 and works part time delivering physical education lessons. James completed his first year of sport science at Brunel University, taking a year out to enhance his knowledge of the practical side of Physical Education. Due to his experience of football coaching over the last year, this has enabled James to develop enthusiasm and a greater understanding of different teaching styles to make sure all participants are incorporated. James wants to ensure PE creates a safe and fun environment that allows children to fully express themselves.
